In January-August 2024 retail trade in Belarus totaled Br57.5 billion, up 12% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee. Over 1,200 trucks are waiting to enter Lithuania, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee. Over the last 24 hours, the least number of trucks, 18% of the normal number, was cleared by the Lithuanian border crossing Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side). In January-August 2024 the Belarusian nuclear power plant generated 11.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity or as much as it did in the entire last year.
