"Work in good faith and harvest on time." Sergey Levkovich on the tasks of farmers of the Vitebsk region

The main task during the harvest period for farmers and all those involved in this process is to perform the work in good faith and with high quality in order to harvest a new crop on time. This was announced to BelTA following a conference call with the head of state, at which they reviewed the progress of the harvesting campaign and the fight against the consequences of the rampant elements, said Sergei Levkovich, Assistant to the President - inspector for the Vitebsk region.

Immediately after the meeting, he went to check the situation on the ground, in particular, the progress of the harvest in one of the agricultural organizations of the Liozno district.

"The most important thing is that all the personnel involved in the harvesting campaign perform their work conscientiously and efficiently. In principle, all the main problematic issues have been resolved. The farms are provided with fuel, and they also have the necessary stock of spare parts. Therefore, it remains only to harvest the crop efficiently, and today this requires a conscientious attitude of people in their workplaces and to mobilize all the resources that we have," said Sergey Levkovich. He recalled that on the morning of July 19, 14 harvesters had malfunctions in the Vitebsk region, therefore, issues of equipment readiness have to be resolved.

Representatives of various departments during the harvesting period will also be in the fields and monitor the situation in order "not to miss the harvest time." Specialists of the regional committee and district departments of agriculture, employees of agricultural organizations work for this purpose. The task is to make a timely decision on a particular crop, ensure their cleaning, refinement and delivery of grain to the state order.

"The problems that periodically arose during the preparatory period (and on the export of grain to the state order) have been solved today. Grain is already being delivered at full speed at the expense of the state order, - said the Assistant to the President - inspector for the Vitebsk region. "Financial issues have also been resolved thanks to the decisions taken today by the head of state on the purchase of state orders."

Similarly, the situation with personnel has developed in the region - all issues have been resolved. Industry, social sector organizations, the law enforcement unit, and employees of the district emergency departments put their shoulder to it. "Many took a vacation or were sent from their organizations in various spheres of life to help our farmers in harvesting. Almost 500 people have already been involved in the harvesting campaign, as well as equipment - more than 200 units of motor transport, about 170 people will work on combine harvesters. Everyone responded," concluded Sergey Levkovich.
