Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Boris Yefremov highly appreciated the activities of his colleagues from Pridvinye. In the Vitebsk region, a decrease in the number of people employed in the economy has not been allowed, interesting projects are being implemented for people of the golden age, with disabilities. The head of the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee Vasily Goncharov stated that the situation in the labor market of the Vitebsk district is characterized by a low and stable level of registered unemployment - 0.1%. In total, 876 people applied for employment assistance in 2024, of which 269 were registered as unemployed.

Particular attention is paid to citizens who are not able to compete on equal terms in the labor market: in 2024, 36 people were employed, including 9 people in special need of social protection...

As for the pension provision of citizens, more than 16 thousand people in the Vitebsk region receive pensions and benefits. In 2024, 875 applications for the appointment and recalculation of pensions were considered.

Specialists check the validity of the issuance of documents confirming the right to assign and recalculate a pension, including on preferential grounds. Assistance is provided to citizens in requesting the documents necessary for the assignment and recalculation of pensions.

Director of the territorial center for social services for the population of the Vitebsk region Ekaterina Lazovskaya said that more than 21 thousand citizens are registered in the TCSON, including 440 single disabled citizens, more than 1.5 thousand disabled people.

As a result of monitoring the quality of services provided, it turned out that 88% of their recipients are completely satisfied with the quality of services provided.

Last year, the number of elderly and disabled people visiting the center's departments on a regular basis increased: in 2023 - 333 people, and in 2024 - 390 people.

The most popular form of social service is still social assistance at home.

During 2024, the Department of Social Assistance at Home provided services to 526 residents of the Vitebsk district, ensuring the maximum quality of service through experienced social workers and caregivers. Even in the most remote settlements of the Dvina region, the elderly have the opportunity to receive food and medicines in a timely manner, as well as the necessary social and rehabilitation services...
