The reconstruction of the building of the former House of Officers in Polotsk is planned to be completed by mid-June. This was announced to journalists by the director of the general contractor Alexander Balobaev, Passes BelTA.
According to him, the entire range of work is being carried out at the facility, this is a full-fledged restoration. The building is an architectural monument, so during the reconstruction, much is agreed with the Ministry of Culture both in terms of materials and work.
"In the process, it was determined that decorative products - stucco, cornices - are in critical condition and in some places under their weight simply fall. It was decided to shoot down everything," Alexander Balobaev said. According to him, all the plaster was knocked down inside, all the décor was removed, which is being made and installed in a new way.
The director of the general contractor specified that the facades, final finishing and landscaping are now being carried out. "In a week and a half or two, all exterior work will be completed, including landscaping and painting of the facades," he stressed. Alexander Balobaev added that the facility will be fully completed by mid-June.
