On the territory of the Polotsk region and the city of Polotsk, there are 21 volunteer squads
The involvement of citizens in law enforcement contributes to increasing the effectiveness of work on the prevention and suppression of offenses, the disclosure of crimes and the search for criminals.
Recently, more and more attention has been paid to the work of volunteer squads. A voluntary brigade carries out its activities under the leadership of authorized officials of local government bodies or legal entities that created it.
Citizens of the Republic of Belarus who have reached the age of 18 and are capable of performing tasks to assist in the protection of law and order are accepted into the squad.
On the territory of the Polotsk region and the city of Polotsk, there are 21 volunteer brigades. Over the past period, 65 offenders were detained during joint patrols under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. Interaction between the ROVD and volunteer squads is carried out on a daily basis. Members of volunteer squads provide assistance to employees of the Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs in places of mass recreation of citizens. The duty of the members of the squads is determined both in the daytime and in the evening.
The most active voluntary brigades are in the Polotsk Central City Hospital, the Polotsk ZUPS of the Vitebsk branch of RUE Beltelecom and the Polotsk Regional Psychiatric Hospital.
