In Polotsk, Natalia Kochanova held a dialogue platform with deputies of the Vitebsk region

Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova visited the former House of Officers in Polotsk, which was reconstructed this year in preparation for the XI Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia.

Natalia Kochanova was given a tour of the building, which is now on the balance sheet of Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk. The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic saw how the former House of Officers, built in 1939, has changed.

The dialogue platform with the deputies of the Vitebsk region of the 29th convocation was productive. Such a result of the meeting held in Polotsk was summed up in an interview with journalists by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natallia Kochanova at the end of the event.

According to her, the participants voiced many issues that need to be resolved. And this will be done. At the same time, the speaker of the Council of the Republic focused on the fact that similar meetings will soon be held throughout the country:

"We will hold such dialogue platforms with the entire deputy corps of our country, because we are a body of territorial representation and our function is to work with deputies of all levels. The President has repeatedly told us about this.

According to Natallia Kochanova, questions of this spectrum were also raised during the meeting in Polotsk:

— Of course, we will work out all these issues. Let's see what else can and should be done to ensure that the work of the deputy corps at all levels, starting from village councils, district and city deputies, is sufficiently effective. So that their work is visible, because they were elected by the people. Because as representatives of the people, they must live the life of their people.

Natalya Kochanova also noted that in each region the range of topical issues can be completely different. However, there are also common ones for everyone. As an example, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic cited the topic of sources of financing for landscaping works.
