District Commission for Presidential Elections Formed in Polotsk

Yesterday, a joint meeting of the Presidium of the Polotsk District Council of Deputies and the Polotsk District Executive Committee was held with the participation of the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Svetlana Odintsova, at which a decision was made to form the Polotsk Commission for the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus.


On October 31, one of the stages of the elections was completed - the nomination of representatives to the district commission by political parties, public associations, labor collectives and citizens by submitting an application.

The Commission is endowed with a wide range of powers: it directly performs functions related to the preparation and conduct of elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus in the territory of the district.

The Polotsk Commission included representatives of public associations (6 people), a political party (1), from citizens by submitting an application (4). In total - 11 people. Location of the commission: Polotsk, Tolstoy Street, 6, office No106, phone 43-90-81. Work schedule: on weekdays - from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00, on Saturday - from 10.00 to 14.00. In connection with the upcoming weekend, the following schedule has been established: November 7, 8, 10 - days off, November 9 - from 10.00 to 14.00, November 16 - from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00.

"We are facing an important task - to conduct the election campaign at a decent level, so that people calmly make their choice and look to the future with confidence," said Igor Markovich, Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee.
