Masherov held a dialogue platform with the participation of the military commissar of the Vitebsk region Dmitry Volfovich. The participants of the event were students of the Faculty of Law, the Military Department, and VSU Lyceum students.
Opening the meeting, the rector of VSU named after. P. Masherova Valentina Bogatyreva noted that at the university, dialogue platforms always leave a mark on the soul.
“You see what the situation is and what problems exist for our Fatherland on the outer perimeter,” she said, addressing the audience. – Today, the most important strategic political decisions are made at the state level that are directly related to the preservation of peace and order.
In his speech, Dmitry Volfovich emphasized that our country continues to pursue a socially oriented course of development of the national economy, despite unprecedented external pressure in conditions of global escalation and tension. In the emerging multipolar world, coalitions of powerful states are being created that oppose each other on the most important issues of the world order and fundamental values.
The military commissar told the participants of the dialogue platform about the military-political situation, which remains difficult. The largest exercises since the collapse of the Warsaw Pact are taking place in Poland and the Baltic countries, in which more than 30 thousand NATO troops are taking part. Dmitry Volfovich voiced the main provisions of the updated important documents - the Concept of National Security and the Military Doctrine, adopted at the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
Employees of the regional military registration and enlistment office informed the participants of the dialogue platform about military service under a contract. And also about the recently issued presidential decree on the conscription of reserve officers under the age of 27 who have not completed compulsory military service, service in the reserve of the Armed Forces and who are not entitled to a deferment.
