In Vitebsk, the regional competition "Climbing into a high-rise building" was held.
The high-rise building at 66K Pravda Street became the arena of unique competitions among 75 rescuers from 25 teams of all district emergency departments of the Vitebsk region, as well as two fire rescue teams "Vityaz" and squad No 1 of OJSC "Naftan" of the Novopolotsk city emergency department.
The competition was a real test for the participants, who demonstrated not only their physical fitness, but also their professionalism and endurance in extreme conditions.
In the first stage, the rescuers had to carry out a high-speed ascent of stairs to a height of 22 floors, which is more than 60 meters. The participants performed the task in full equipment, the weight of which exceeded 20 kilograms, which added complexity and required high physical endurance.
The second stage of the competition was no less intense. Rescuers worked out methods of rescuing people using the skills of industrial mountaineering. This stage included several tasks: rescuing a suspended victim, lifting the load and moving along an inclined crossing. These skills are an integral part of the work of rescuers, and practicing them in a competitive environment allowed participants to demonstrate their abilities and readiness for real challenges.
