Belarus has hosted over 300,000 visa-waiver travelers from the neighboring EU countries since 1 January 2023, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
Some 685,687 people from the neighboring EU countries have visited Belarus since the launch of the visa-waiver program, including 434,794 citizens of Lithuania, 47,499 non-citizens and 155,487 citizens of Latvia, and 47,907 Polish citizens.

Employees of the Belarusian public sector will get a pay rise on 1 September 2023, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.
The ministry explained that the work on gradual increase in the base amount continues. The government has decided on the next stage of increasing it. Resolution No. 546 by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 18 August 2023 sets the base amount at Br235.
