The Vitebsk branch of RUE Beltelecom took first place in the competition for the best organization of ideological work in the labor collectives of the Vitebsk region at the end of 2024 among transport and communication enterprises. The well-deserved award was presented to the team by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov.
The staff of the branch was also awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the head of the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk Evgeny Semyonychev "For conscientious work, high professionalism, significant contribution to the implementation of the state ideological and youth policy".Dmitry Goloshchev, Deputy Director for Ideological Work and Construction of the Vitebsk branch of RUE Beltelecom, spoke about the attention paid to young people by the management of the branch, how patriotism is fostered at the enterprise, and how the continuity of generations is promoted at the enterprise.
- What landmark events for the country are the eyes of the staff of the Beltelecom branch?
"We pay special attention to the preservation of historical memory and the formation of respect for the feat of the people during the Great Patriotic War. On the eve of the celebration of the great date - the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, as well as every year on May 9, we organize a visit to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Stalin Line, the Brest Fortress. Young specialists lay flowers and wreaths at memorials, obelisks, burial sites, participate in the "Preserving Memory" motor rally, in the patriotic action "Candle of Memory".
Young people annually take part in the rally "For a United Belarus", dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, and last year they became activists of the forum "Time has chosen us. 30 years under the mark of quality".
Our young people watched with interest the coverage of events from the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Belarus, which took place on March 25, 2025.
"Patriotism is also manifested in the desire to improve the land, to make it more beautiful, to help those who need it. Does the branch participate in volunteer clean-ups, environmental campaigns, charity events?
"Representatives of our team were happy to join the republican campaign "Adnavim lyasy razam!". As part of the action "Youth for the cleanliness of cities and villages" with the participation of the head of the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk, the territory of the park named after the 30th anniversary of the Komsomol was landscaped. Assistance to orphanages and the Dobrik shelter for homeless animals has already become a tradition for the company. Our young people actively participate in the republican charity events "Our Children", "From the bottom of our hearts", "Let's collect a briefcase together", "Miracles for Christmas", the charity hockey match "Good Ice".
— How do young people prove themselves in the profession?
"In the district, city and regional stages of the competition for young employees of enterprises, organizations and institutions "Super-PROFI-2024" in the nomination "Communication and Informatization", the victory was won by Anton Bebenin, a specialist in working with key clients, secretary of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of the Beltelecom branch. He also took part in the youth festival in Sochi.
Competitions of professional skills "Installation and operation of fiber-optic telecommunication lines", skills of car drivers, "The best seller of RUE Beltelecom", "Athlete of the year of RUE Beltelecom", "The future of the trade union is the business of the young!" are traditional events where both our youth and other employees of the branch successfully participate.
In 2024, the Vitebsk branch achieved the best development indicators among communications organizations and was listed on the Board of Honor of the city of Vitebsk. This is the contribution of both veterans and young employees of the organization.
— Is attention paid to the adaptation of young specialists at the enterprise?
— The management of the branch holds meetings where it is possible to discuss issues related to the development of professional skills, creating conditions for growth and self-realization, and make proposals to the collective agreement. Effective feedback is very important to us. Young people who show leadership qualities and are able to work in managerial positions are included in the personnel reserve.
Employees are provided with computer and office equipment, overalls, safety shoes, personal protective equipment, they are given the necessary tools and devices.
— How do you attract young people to work at Beltelecom?
"The branch holds meetings with students of schools in the Vitebsk region and future applicants of specialized faculties of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications and other educational institutions. At these meetings, students receive the necessary information about the enterprise, the specifics of its work. In addition, we assist the Academy of Communications in the internship of teachers and students in production, exchange work experience.
— How do you promote a healthy lifestyle?
In order to popularize sports in the communications industry, develop mass physical culture, and promote a healthy lifestyle, the company's employees take an active part in various physical culture and sports events. These are, for example, the republican ski track, the republican tourist rally and the summer sports contest of RUE Beltelecom, regional competitions in swimming, football, track and field cross, kettlebell lifting, tennis. Great interest of the staff of the team was aroused by bowling tournaments, kayaking. The company has a sports complex, which is fully equipped with everything necessary.
