Lukashenko: No one will manage to subdue Belarus
No one will manage to subdue Belarus, President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of different nationalities living in Belarus, BelTA has learned.
“The current authorities of Poland, as well as the previous ones, are trying to make their country a puppet of the United States of America. Why should Poland spend 5% of GDP, billions of U.S. dollars, to buy weapons? Who is going to attack Poland? Do we need anything from the Poles? No, we don't. What do the Poles need from us? It is quite obvious. They need Western Belarus and Western Ukraine back [as part of Poland]. Others also have similar ambitions,” the Belarusian head of state said.
“Look, it is absolutely impossible. No one will be able to subdue Belarus. We have enough friends, and we also can take care of ourselves. Especially taking into consideration this swampy and wooded areas. It is impossible to fight here. Millions of people would die,” the Belarusian leader said.
