“With all my heart”: labor veterans were honored at the Maksimovsky boarding school

The chairman of the committee on labor, employment and social protection of the regional executive committee, Boris Efremov, and representatives of the district authorities came to them in the outback of the Gorodok district with gifts and congratulations. Words of gratitude for many years of conscientious work in the institution, for whose workers such human qualities as kindness, patience, and sensitivity are important, were addressed to 15 former and current Maksimov employees. Despite the fact that they have all reached retirement age, some of them continue to work. Like, for example, nurse Svetlana Shunko.

“I’ve been working in a boarding home for 43 years, ” says Svetlana. “ I remember when it was still located in wooden houses along the village street. But even then it was in demand; more than 400 people lived in it.

While drinking tea, the veterans recalled historical milestones, in particular, the construction of a standard building. With its commissioning in 1991, working and living in it became much more comfortable. And in general: relatives of those living in Maksimovka note its special, almost homely atmosphere.
