Vitebsk hosted the qualifying regional tournament of the intellectual game "Learn. Save. Earn"

The regional tournament of the game "Learn. Save. Earn", timed to coincide with the Financial Literacy Week, brought together 28 teams from educational institutions of the region. It was organized by representatives of Belarusbank and the regional organization of Belaya Rus.

– The intellectual game "Learn. Save. Earn" among students of educational institutions has been held by Belarusbank since 2017. 168 students as part of 28 teams from schools, gymnasiums and colleges of Vitebsk, Vitebsk district, Novopolotsk and Dubrovno have adequately prepared for this year's competition," said Anna Senkova, a member of the panel of judges of the regional round of the game, head of the financial literacy group of the regional department No 200 of Belarusbank.

Teams of experts played on the principle of "question - brainstorming - answer" in six thematic rounds. The children named economic terms, guessed financial riddles hidden in musical compositions and images. Young men and women reflected on the definitions of the economic terms recession, surplus, indexation, writing down answers in competition forms. One of the rounds was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to the jury, all teams adequately coped with historical tasks.

According to the results of the tournament, the 3rd place was taken by the team "Literate Investors" of the Novopolotsk Palace of Children and Youth, the 2nd place was won by the team "Alferovtsy" of the Vitebsk Gymnasium No 1 named after Zh. I. Alferov. The winners of the tournament were the teams "Two + Two" of secondary school No 4 of the city of Vitebsk. Nikolai Romanovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization "Belaya Rus", presented awards to the winners and participants and thanked them for their excellent knowledge in the field of financial literacy.

On March 21, three winning teams will represent the Vitebsk region in the final round of the intellectual game "Learn. Save. Earn money."
