On the border of Belarus, Russia and Latvia during the Great Patriotic War, the history of the Great Victory was written. Thousands of partisans and underground fighters fought against fascism. 65 years ago, the Mound of Friendship memorial complex was erected here, where veterans and their descendants meet every year. Last Sunday, the 65th meeting took place.
The leadership of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions, participants and guests of the anniversary meeting, including Polotsk residents, laid flowers at the monument to the Komsomol underground members in the village of Proshki (Belarus) and the monument to the Hero of the Great Patriotic War Maria Pynto (Russia) and traditionally performed the legendary "Katyusha".
