This year, Christmas markets in the northern region will start working on December 16. Where and for how much it will be possible to buy green beauties, told in the Vitebsk GPLHO.

Traditionally, for the convenience of the population, Christmas markets will be open from 8.00 to 20.00. The assortment of retail outlets includes fir trees, pines, Christmas bouquets and fir trees in tubs.

The price of a New Year's tree at Christmas markets in Vitebsk will be the same. So, a fluffy beauty up to 1 m high can be purchased for 12.50 rubles, up to 2 m – for 15.80 rubles, up to 3 m – for 22.96 rubles, and New Year's trees in tubs – for 22.96 rubles.

16 sites for the sale of natural firs and pines have been identified in the regional center. They will unfold near Polotsk, Smolensky, Yuzhny markets, on Smolenskaya str., 3/1, Chkalov, the area of the Yug-7 stop, Mira, 44, Titova, next to house No. 113, Warriors Internationalists, 11a., Pravda 64a, intersections of Maxim Gorky and Academician Pavlov streets, Smolenskaya and Frunze Avenue. Also, the holiday addresses will be Proletarian Square, Pobedy Avenue near the Vesta store, Moskovsky, 45/1 and 130, Stroiteley, 15b. In agreement with the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, other venues can be organized.

In the New Year period, employees of the state forest protection will conduct raids aimed at suppressing illegal logging. Patrolling of forests and coniferous young trees near settlements and roads will be organized. There will also be posts, including joint ones with traffic police officers and the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Wildlife under the President of the Republic

Citizens transporting spruce and pine trees must have documents confirming their purchase. The forest guard intends to use photo and video cameras actively on New Year's Eve. Unauthorized cutting of green beauties threatens an individual with a fine from 5 to 30 basic units, an individual entrepreneur – from 20 to 200 BV, a legal entity – from 50 to 300 BV.
