The secret of how many years to deal with living beauty every day and never get tired of this cute activity knows Anna Vitko from Vitebsk.
A lot is already 16 years. That is how long ago Anna came to the first workplace in her life in the system of branded trade of the SE "Vitebsk Zelenstroy", which today is called "City Flowers". And it remains the first to this day, I had a chance to work in different stores. Now senior salesperson Anna Vitko and colleagues Natalia Konina and Antonina Sokolovskaya serve customers in a shopping facility on Lazo Street, 2.
"Flowers are in demand all year round, but the holiday of March 8 is special," says the smiling Anna Sergeevna. "March 6 and 7 are the busiest days, when there is a large volume of wholesale orders from enterprises and organizations, our regular customers from among the residents of the city. The mobilization of forces in this regard is complete.
A large order can be 350 or 500 bouquets. Three hardworking sellers need to make them from flowers delivered from Zelenstroy's greenhouses, stylishly pack and hand them over to customers. At the same time, try to achieve the maximum synergistic effect for the enterprise. Employees who grow tulips and roses in greenhouses put a lot of effort and talent into this. And they are also mostly women.
By the way, by the current Women's Day, the staff of Vitebsk Zelenstroy has grown 10 thousand tulips and more than 30 thousand roses, said the director of the enterprise Valentina Shendyukova.
I called my interlocutor a florist, and Anna was embarrassed: "No, we are just sellers!" and immediately, telling what techniques she resorts to, how she tries to find and catch new design trends in the composition of bouquets and all kinds of compositions in various sources, she refuted these words. Moreover, fellow sellers of the retail facility have at their disposal the same flowers, packaging materials, and each has her own result, with a personal vision and imagination. Even the bow is made larger, more fluffy, and the other is stricter, with its own approach, and it already looks different.
In addition to tulips and roses grown in their own greenhouses, carnations, gerberas, chrysanthemums, alstroemeria are sold here to expand the range. The buyer must find everything he desires. It is the preferences of customers, coupled with the professional recommendations of sellers on what the bouquet can be like on a particular occasion, that allow you to satisfy the most demanding requests. Anna Vitko herself loves roses more. Not burgundy, they are strict and dark for her, but light - white and yellow. Zelenstroy's branded products include seven shades.
March 8 is a working day for a small team of a shopping facility. There are also a lot of buyers, but it usually takes place in relaxation mode:
"Mostly men come, congratulate, smile, thank, say compliments," Anna shares. "After all, by buying bouquets, they will bring joy and the most pleasant feelings to loved ones. I also love when I am given flowers. But, probably, I still do not experience some kind of super delight, like many other women. Apparently, because at work you are constantly in the atmosphere of this incredible fragrance, colors and positivity.
At parting, I asked Anna to give our readers advice on how to care for a bouquet in order to keep it fresh longer. She answered: every day cut the ends, keep the rose stems in the vase covered with water above half the length and at a comfortable cool air temperature.
