By 2030, the Vitebsk region plans to keep almost the entire cattle population in modern complexes. Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin stated this at a meeting with the President on the topic of development of the agro-industrial complex, BelTA reports.

“At the moment, a strategy for further development has crystallized in the Vitebsk region. The emphasis should be on livestock farming, and crop production should ensure meat and dairy farming in the region. A strategy has been developed to put almost all livestock in “palaces” (as the President sometimes figuratively calls modern ones) by 2030. complexes. - BELTA’s note). the dairy herd should be kept in stables all year round,” said the head of the region.

Alexander Subbotin spoke about plans to plant crops on approximately 60 thousand hectares. meadow pastures, which will gradually be released as a result of such modernization, current spring field work, features in providing equipment to farms in the Vitebsk region, development of the raw material zone and approaches to livestock farming, work to ensure the safety of young cattle, personnel issues.

“We understand that there must be a dictate of technology. Without adherence to technological discipline, high results will not be achieved,” the head of the region emphasized.
